Atlas Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our Big Data Platform. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing the infrastructure required to support our large-scale data processing and analytics initiatives.

Pay Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Travel up to 10%

You Will:

• Implement best practices for cloud security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to understand platform requirements.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the Big Data Platform.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for efficient resource management.
• Establish monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform-related issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations and procedures.

You Have:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Possession of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
• Security +CE Certification, or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Big Data Platform support.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.

Preferred:

• Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Automation and scripting skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
