Job Description

Job Summary
Bottling Technicians for our BMIA group will be responsible for processing product formulations, filling, capping, labeling, and completing batch records, and putting away Finished Good Inventory (FGI). This is a highly team-oriented group which involves working closely with other core teams within the BMIA Departments (LEGENDplex and ELISA) as well as other departments such as Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution Team (CST), Packaging, MCI, and Quality Control groups.


Essential Functions

  • Assist in performing various bottling-related tasks including dispensing antibody solutions, and capping and labeling of vials, tubes, or bottles.

  • Formulate products per approved SOPs and work instructions.

  • Verify formulation worksheets to ensure that information such as concentrations, lot numbers etc. are correct.

  • Ability to perform simple Math calculations.

  • Put away finished good products in their designated temperature conditions.

  • Use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.

  • Provide training to others.

  • Set up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations.

  • Operate computer-controlled process support/process equipment (i.e., filling line, lyophilizer, capping, labeling machines, etc.).

  • Follow instructions for completion of job tasks.

  • Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines

  • Clean and maintain the work area and all lab equipment and supplies.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED or some college

  • 6+ months of relevant experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging working environment

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Some college level science courses or training

  • Familiarity with SOPs

  • Ability to pipette and work under aseptic technique practices

  • Ability to perform simple Math calculations

  • Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel

  • Good dexterity with excellent hand and eye coordination

The base salary range for this full-time position is$18.00 - 20.00/hr.This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.
